​​​I have just got back from the first Alive Retreat and had such a fantastic time. I would thoroughly recommend it. The whole trip was very well organised, with a great balance of excursions and time to relax and unwind. The yoga sessions were fantastic and catered for all levels and the food was just incredible. The retreat was just what I needed and more. Dr Sohère made everyone feel at home as soon as we arrived and was always on hand to answer any questions. Her daily talks were really interesting and it was great to be able to learn so much from a doctor in an accessible way. Another fantastic feature was being able to have a personal medical consultation with Dr Sohère. I am determined to incorporate what I have learnt into ‘normal life’ back home. However, I think I need Dr Sohère to help with my Alive Retreat withdrawal symptoms!

​​Sohère, I absolutely loved the retreat and well done for organising such an amazing experience for us all. This was my first retreat ever and I thoroughly enjoyed it – loved the yoga, medical talks and the amazing food! Villa Azul is stunning and was the perfect venue. I made some fab friends and felt thoroughly rested – thank you!

​​​I had one of the most special memorable times I’ll never forget on Sohère’s first retreat. Yoga every day with Steve, a wonderful teacher (I feel a massive difference in my back!). Very valuable information and interesting talks from Sohère. Amazing vegetarian food at the Azul Villa which is an amazing villa with such lovely people making you feel so relaxed and welcome. The sand dune meditation was amazing on a beautiful day at the lagoon and beach. I met some lovely people. I can’t recommend this enough, I definitely feel ALIVE again , a wonderful positive start to the year to keep going with all the amazing things I’ve learned from the retreat. I can’t wait to go on the next one as soon as possible, I feel amazing …thank you to you all for an unforgettable trip … a retreat you won’t forget! Believe me!

​​Very good, well organised, casual, good value. About 18 is the right number. Very enjoyable. The yoga sessions were tailored to our needs and not very prescriptive. Food was good and varied. Well done Sohère for a job well done.

​​​​I LOVED the retreat, which I decided would be a good way to start my 50th year. The combination of amazing, healthy vegetarian food (which was amongst the best I have ever eaten) and fantastic yoga led by Steve, made for a superb retreat. The icing on the cake was that the whole retreat was run by a qualified GP who recognises the need to see a person as a whole, so we were given one-to-one consultations to discuss lifestyle, diet, any body and/or mind health issues etc. This made a complete change from the usual GP consultation to discuss a single symptom. The week was spent with lovely like-minded people, and we had such a laugh. There were opportunities for excursions to the beach, star-gazing, shopping and lying in the Sun by the pool. All-in-all, I can’t recommend this retreat enough. It was great value too.

​​​I felt that the whole experience left me relaxed and the company of others was fantastic. I could do as much or as little as I wanted to – suited to what I could manage but felt I wanted to push myself and began to feel ‘alive’ no aching pains! I’m going to take away a lot from this experience. I hope to continue my yoga as much as possible and try and go again in a few months’ time.
