I attended the ALIVE retreat in January 2018 after a friend showed me an article written about the retreat and how much they had benefited from attending. The experience far outweighed my expectations! The yoga was 'amazing' as Steve would say and I got my body to move in ways I thought no longer possible. Sohère guided us through a daily discussion about relevant health issues and her knowledge and expertise was evident. There was loads of time to simply chill out, relax and play, again something I think I had forgotten about. I came home feeling strong in mind and body, feeling able to move forward in the next stage of my life with confidence, calmness and excitement. I can't thank them enough...and can't wait to do it again.

This retreat experience totally exceeded my expectations. Both Sohère and Steve are wonderful human beings who really care about others and were truly inspiring. I found the whole experience life affirming and pure joy and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

What a fabulous few days with some amazing people. Lovely small group which gelled well immediately. The retreat got going straight away with a fabulous lunch, then introductions and yoga. The food on the retreat was gorgeous and plentiful. Sohère is a warm and incredibly knowledgable person, and makes you feel extremely welcome. The yoga with Steve was as usual fun, therapeutic and accessible. What I take away from this retreat as well is the importance of mind wellbeing. Meditation and visualization is now something I feel I can practice daily and will make a difference in my life. Thank you Sohère and Steve, and thank you to the ‘being alive’ gang, I hope to see you all soon.

From arrival at the airport, to saying au revoir, there was a feeling of togetherness, acceptance and understanding. The small group made it intimate, but in no way claustrophobic. There was opportunity for solitude and space for reflection. The yoga was “awesome” and doable, for all abilities. Discussions ranged from being intellectual to frivolous. Accommodation was fantastic. Everything was very comfortable. The whole experience was an excellent way to start the year. Feeling grateful and blessed.
